NON-LINEAR VIBRATION OF EULER-BERNOULLI BEAMS
Abstract
IN THIS PAPER, THE VARIATIONAL ITERATION METHOD (VIM) AND PARAMETRIZED PERTURBATION METHOD (PPM) HAVE BEEN USED TO INVESTIGATE NON-LINEAR VIBRATION OF EULER-BERNOULLI BEAMS SUBJECTED TO THE AXIAL LOADS. THE PROPOSED METHODS DO NOT REQUIRE SMALL PARAMETER IN THE EQUATION WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO BE FOUND FOR NONLINEAR PROBLEMS. COMPARISON OF VIM AND PPM WITH RUNGE-KUTTA 4TH LEADS TO HIGHLY ACCURATE SOLUTIONS.
